Goodbye Gray Hair Color, hello coloursplash!™
When you use the no ammonia, no peroxide real hair color, coloursplash!™ Gray Roots your gray roots will diminish considerably. As most of you know, gray hair color seems to come out within three days after you have your roots done, whether you do them at the salon or do them yourself at-home.
When you first turn gray you actually think it is growing in faster than your natural hair color…but it is not. I have seen women pull out gray hair color. Then I hear women yell “Don’t pull out your gray hair more will grow in!” This is a myth. The following is from a most respected consumer advocate that really tells it like it is about all cosmetic chemicals that are in the hair salons and on the drugstore shelves.
Equally persistent is the myth that if you pull out one gray hair two or more will grow back. If that were the case, why wouldn’t pulling out a brown or blonde hair produce more hair from that follicle? What a way to make hair thicker! Of course, that’s a myth, not fact; pulling out a hair does not generate the growth of another hair, or create a new follicle for hair to grow from. If anything, the number of hairs you have on your head is the number you had on the day you were born, and there’s no way to create more follicles after that. What does happen is that the hair’s texture, color, and growth pattern changes as you get older; the number of hair follicles stays the same. Paula Begoun (www.CosmeticsCop.com )
Because of this change in the hair follicle the hair color you are now using will not take as well as it did before this follicle change and your first gray hair appeared. The gray hair shaft will also look and feel resistant; it will repel most hair color because of the new texture of hair. The first thing you will see with gray hair is that it will show up looking wiry. You will think the hair gray hair is lighter at the root area because this is where the gray grows in first.
All hair color formulas need to be adjusted for this resistance. I have worked with this all of my career so I know how to work with the problem. I have found that some hair colorist and most women still don’t understand gray hair and think there is a big mystery of why it doesn’t take as well as the rest of the hair. Mystery solved…all hair color formulas need to be adjusted for better coverage.
This is the main reason I created coloursplash!™ Gray Roots, the real no- ammonia hair colorant that will not damage your hair because it has gentle hair color molecules which deposit into the hair shaft leaving your hair in great condition, without coating the hair shaft. The chemicals have been used by professionals for years so I simply reformulated them for you the consumer, to help blend in your gray roots until your next hair color service.
Just a Touch of Real Hair Color Will Help Your Hair Look Beautiful and Healthy All Month Long.
I know it is costly for most women to get into the hair salon every two or three weeks to get their roots done. And I also know another thing women can’t stand gray hair, unless it is ultra white and as complementary to their skin tones as it is to the famous model Carmen.
Up until now most women I know are using the drugstore pencils and markers to rub onto their scalp to cover the gray hair as it comes in. These colorants are temporary; they just coat the hair and the scalp. As of this date I have never seen any of these products that look like real hair color, because they are made with a waxy substance that only coats the hair which rubs off on your clothing.
Up to this point you really have not had a choice but to rub this stuff onto your gray roots because most women just can’t afford to spend $45-$90 (plus tips and parking) every two weeks to cover their gray roots. Also some of you are postponing your hair color appointments because of this new economy we are in, which could cause other problems like not looking your best for your significant others … and at work.

- After you process the color if you have not shampooed product build before you have blended your gray roots …simply shampoo and condition
The Lollipop Swab
If you only have a few gray hairs starting to grow in you can turn the swab to the edge and use the edge of the applicator to touch the color onto the tiny few grays that start to peep out. This in fact is why women start to use this product. It blends in the tiny white hair with the rest of their hair color when they don’t really want to start to do all over color. Actually women love it for this reason.
Mixing the Shades
All of these shades can be mixed for a more personalize hair color. If you do wish to mix them you will still follow the same directions.
I am sure you will be delighted with your results and happy to not have to worry about what you’re going to do with your gray roots.
